Lem Barney played his entire 11-year career with the Detroit Lions and finished his career with 1,312 punt return yards and two touchdowns, 1,274 kick return yards and one touchdown, and 56 career interceptions, 1,077 return yards and seven interception returns for touchdowns. Barney is arguably the greatest cornerback to ever play for the Detroit Lions and shares his retired number “20” with fellow Hall of Famer Barry Sanders. In 19, barney was named to the NFL All-Pro First Teams. Lem led the NFL twice in punt returns for touchdowns, twice in interception returns for touchdowns and once in interceptions, interception return yards, fumble recoveries and fumble recovery return yards.
